Man Cold
This You Tube video is particularly funny considering this week Tim and I have been in quarantine and engaging in a daily competition to prove who is sicker and therefore who must gather the energy to take care of Jack. Somehow we've managed to get through the week with colds, sinus infections, pink eye and several other ailments requiring a small fortune in OTC and prescription remedies. It's been a LONG week. We are finally feeling a little better, although I am doing better than Tim. We felt like a biological weapon was released in our house and Tim received a direct hit. I received a glancing blow and somehow Jack escaped unscathed. Three cheers for Purell!

White Elephant Heaven
As promised, the white elephant we received this year. Although it was not a white elephant party so how can one be sure this is, in fact a white elephant? You be the judge. Not sure why the baby Jesus looks like a sumo wrestler. And I can only assume that Mary is the one without the beard. Whatever shall we do with this treasure?

Poor Dog part II
The tape came off about a week and a half shy of the prescribed 2 weeks. Yep...it lasted 4 whole days! She was constantly scratching at her ear because of the tape and that just made things worse. So I took it off and wouldn't ya know it...the blood clot was still there! Feel even better about that Vet bill now! But at least she's happier with the tape off and it seems to be getting better on its own. Hmmmm, who said that would happen? Chalk it up to lessons learned I guess.

Zoo Lights
Jackson's favorite thing right now is LIGHTS! He points at them, babbles about them and drags a stool over to the window so he can look out at them. So we thought he might like to go to the zoo for zoo lights. He did a lot of pointing and babbling so we figure it was a hit. Most of the animals were asleep but we did see the snow leopard, a tiger and the owl was wide awake, of course. There were also a few random turkeys which was weird. Many of the light displays were in motion like the peacock opening his feathers and the animals passing a star to the top of the tree so if I figure out how to get the videos on here I'll post a few.

Playing in the Snow
Tim's been dying to take Jack over to the sledding hill at the park. I of course said..No! not my baby! He's too small! But we got another big storm today so we took him in his little sled. He loves being out in the snow.
Poor Dog
Kaiya had what amounts to a blood blister in her right ear this week. Tim insisted on taking her to the Vet.
Me: She had one a year ago...it went away on it's own.
Tim: You wouldn't hesitate if it was Jack.
Me: Yea...but he's human.
Tim: She's like a kid.
Me: Fine, take her to the vet.

So, to make a long story short, a couple hundred bucks later, she has to have her ear taped down for 2 weeks and will probably end up with the same result as the last one that cost us nothing! Not sure how we'll get the tape off. Maybe I'll let you know how it goes in two weeks!
