FREE dog to good home-smells like poop

This week Kaiya rolled in poop. Twice. I can't imagine anything more foul. The first time I thought, maybe she just really wanted that haircut I had been talking about giving her. She was just trying to make it happen a little quicker. Yeah, that's it...because surely she's not THAT stupid. And it worked! She immediately got a bath and then.... might as well shave her since I have been talking about it. Brilliant! Then yesterday she did it AGAIN!

Soooo...FREE dog to good home, loves kids, runs away from home when given the chance, knows when it's time to eat, regardless of whether you're still sleeping, can clear a room with her farts, snores, recently developed bad habit of rolling in poop.

Hogle Zoo

We celebrated our friend Sophia's 3rd birthday at the zoo this morning.

Awww, baby Giraffe

Can you hear me saying, Look Jack! Leopard!

This was Jack's favorite...can't remember what it was, some kind of tiny monkey...but it captivated him

He also liked the MeerKat

Happy Birthday Sophia!

That's how he keeps his skin so soft

Easter

This was last year's Easter picture. Guess I'm a sucker for vests.

No way were we getting the ears on him this year!

He was all about finding the eggs! I was very surprised that he figured it out so quickly. He was having so much fun....

So the Easter Bunny came back during his nap and hid some more outside!

Tagged: Husband Post

I've been tagged by Laurie

What is your husband's name? Timothy Scott Garvey

How long have you been together? We've been together 8 years, married almost 5.

How long did you date? 3 years almost exactly to the day. First date was may 20th and wedding was may 18th.

Who eats more? He does.

Who said I love you first? We both said it at the same time on our third date except it was more like we said we thought we were falling in love. This was after we watched a sunset from Wasatch blvd.

Who is taller? He is a few inches taller.

Who has more speeding tickets? I think I have 1 and he has none.

Who is smarter? He is much, much smarter. He's working on his 2nd masters degree. It's one of the things that attracted me to him.

Who is more sensitive? Me of course. I remember when I was pregnant I was sad that he didn't really get to feel the baby kick or move like I did and I asked if he was sorry he'd never get to experience that. He said "nope".

Who does the laundry? We both do but I'm better at it.

Who does the dishes? We both do. Usually whoever doesn't cook does the dishes.

Who sleeps on the right? If you are looking at the bed from the foot, I am on the right.

Who pays the bills? I do. He wouldn't even know how to get to the online bill pay.

Who mows the lawn? He does more than me. It depends on how much homework he has and how sorry I feel for him. Keeping in mind he wanted this HUGE yard.

Who cooks dinner? We both do but he is much better at it.

Who drives when you are together? Usually him but if I'm in a hurry then I drive.

Who is more stubborn? We both are but I am more than him.

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Probably him.

Who's parents do you see more often? Mine. His family is in Wisconsin.

Who has more siblings? I have 3 and he has 2.

Who wears the pants in the family? I'm not much for skirts or dresses.

Who eats more sweets? We both have a sweet tooth.

Guilty pleasures? Not sure there really are any. There is that sweet tooth thing I mentioned before.

How did you meet? We first met at a Halloween party a mutual friend took me to in 1999. Then 7 months later, that same mutual friend wanted to set us up so she took me to a graduation party for a bunch of Psychology students (his 1st masters). We started dating then we realized later that we had met briefly at the Halloween party.

Who asked who out first? He called a few days after the graduation party and asked me out.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me.

Who proposed? Well, I was in the middle of pre-requisites for the PTA program and told him if we were going to get married, we should do it before the program started. So I just sort of started planning it. A few days later he called me and said he was at Trolley Square designing my ring and wanted me to come see it. He's not so good at the surprise thing. Gets too excited. He didn't officially propose until he had the ring and I was already halfway through planning the wedding!

Best Feature? Intelligence, kindness

Best personality trait? He will do anything to help his friends and family, classmates, co-workers, etc.

Pet names? Honey

Where do I see us in 15 years? Wow. We'll be middle aged! I'm guessing he'll still be practicing as a Nurse Practitioner and I may still be doing Physical Therapy. Jackson will be getting his drivers license. I really hope they raise the drivers license age to 18!

What is my favorite thing about him? He is a wonderful father. He is a hard worker. He is loyal and kind. He makes me laugh.

Now I tag Anja, Andrea, Kellie and Jessica

And So It Begins

Jackson was a little ornery this morning and insisted he needed his pajamas off and the red shoes on! Now! His stubborn side is starting to show. Hmmm....who does that come from? Those shoes certainly made him happy. They say pick your battles......

Then he got his coat and insisted it was time to go bye bye. Do we have a little flasher on our hands?

Hmmm, which is cuter?

My brother and sister-in-law just got two new puppies. Jackson loved them!

Discovery Gateway

My friend Susan and I took the kids to Discovery Gateway today. It's kind of like an interactive museum. Reminded me of the Children's Museum in Indiana. My first thought was it was like a dog park for kids. So much to do, so much to see! And kids everywhere! Jackson had a blast.

Jackson and Sawyer had a great time playing in the water, thus the wet pants coming up.

This was Jack's favorite area. He spent an long time going up and down the little slides and chasing after little girls here.

In the birdhouse.

And of course he found some buttons to push!

The lifeflight helicopter was neat but made realistic sounds like the prop was turning and was rather loud. I think he was a little scared.

Day with Aunt Erin

I spent this weekend at a Physical Therapy conference honing my skills in treating spine disorders so Jack got to spend a day with Aunt Erin and these are some pictures she took--proof that he was in good hands!

How did she get him to pose like that??!!

Lately this is his favorite spot...I guess because he couldn't get under the old table. At least he's ready if there is another earthquake!
